1. Definitions
- Voobi ("we", "us", "our") means Flux Pillar PTE. LTD., registered in Singapore under UEN 202622948H, operating the Voobi service and this website. Our office address is Flux Pillar PTE. LTD., 60 Paya Lebar Road, #06-28 Paya Lebar Square, Singapore 409051.
- You means the parent or guardian who creates an account and uses Voobi to curate content for children.
- Child means the minor(s) who use the curated video feed on a device linked to your account.
- Curated content means any videos, audio, playlists, channels, or other media you add to your whitelist for your household, sourced from YouTube or any other platform we support now or in the future.
- Service means the Voobi application, including the parent dashboard, device linking, and the child-facing video feed.
- Account means your parent or guardian account used to manage the service.
2. Eligibility and parental responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. By using Voobi, you confirm that you are a parent or guardian and that you accept responsibility for how the service is used in your household and for the content accessible to children through it. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and linked devices secure, and for all activity under your account.
3. Account and device linking
You create an account to manage your curated video whitelist. You may link one or more devices to your household so that the curated feed is available on those devices. Devices are linked using a time-limited code generated by the service. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for managing which devices are linked to your household.
4. Connecting third-party platforms
The service allows you to connect third-party platforms via OAuth or similar authentication to browse and whitelist content. By connecting a platform, you agree to be bound by that platform's terms of service and privacy policy in addition to these Terms. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any third-party platform.
Currently supported platforms include:
- YouTube (Google) - governed by YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. You may disconnect YouTube at any time through the parent dashboard or through your Google account permissions.
You may disconnect any connected platform from your account at any time through the parent dashboard or through the relevant platform's account settings.
5. License to use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Voobi for personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. You may not resell, sublicense, or use the service for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission.
6. Content
Curated content shown in Voobi is hosted by third-party platforms such as YouTube. We do not own, host, or control that content. You are responsible for reviewing the content you add to your whitelist before making it available to children. Each platform's terms of service and content policies apply to all embedded content. We make no warranty that any content you whitelist will remain available, appropriate, or accessible at all times, as this is outside our control.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent or interfere with any parental control or access restriction built into the service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the service
- Share your account with people outside your household
- Use the service in any way that could harm children
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.
8. Subscriptions and refunds
Paid access to Voobi may be offered through subscription plans. Subscription fees, billing periods, and renewal terms are shown at checkout or in your account settings where available. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, we only offer refunds during the first 7 days after your subscription begins. After that 7-day refund window, subscription payments are non-refundable.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. You may close your account from the parent dashboard settings or by contacting us at privacy@voobi.com. We may terminate or suspend your access for breach of these Terms, abuse, or operational reasons. On termination, your right to use the service ends. Handling of your data upon termination is described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific video will remain available through YouTube.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law (such as liability for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence).
12. Dispute resolution
We would prefer to resolve any dispute informally. If you have a concern, please contact us at privacy@voobi.com and we will try to resolve it. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally within 30 days, either party may pursue the remedies available under applicable law.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, except where applicable law requires a different forum.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU or UK, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence, which these Terms do not override.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date, or by in-app notice or email. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service and may close your account.
15. General
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Voobi regarding the service and supersede any prior agreements. If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force.
